How do I keep my Dell moniter from going into Powersave with hp laptop? LT screen screen cracked, DM a pain!? - dm screen

When I use the computer in Safe Mode, is the monkey, but says otherwise he goes into "Power Save Mode" and take much longer to-key or move the mouse, but do not move the mouse and pressing a button wake up the monkey. It makes me mad. Ideas?
